Brian Magill currently works as a contractor at the NASA Langley Research Center. He develops sofware for processing data from the CALIPSO satellite. (CALIPSO uses pulsed laser light to characterize and track clouds and aerosols in the earth’s atmosphere.) He is involved in the local Python users group. His interests outside of software development include cycling, poetry, and playing Javanese gamelan. He currently lives in York County, VA.

Its GUI interfaces do not have the same look and feel as those of Windows, MacIntosh, or various flavors of Linux. It is easy to get lost in the plethora of options.
