Jordi Blasco has a degree in Physics from the University of Barcelona. He is founder of the HPC Knowledge Portal, a popular international project focused on HPC and Clustering knowledge sharing. Since 2004 he has worked as a teacher of postgraduate courses on Computing Security and Linux Systems Administration at the University of Barcelona. He worked in the Supercomputing Center of Catalonia (CESCA) as an HPC SysAdmin from 2005 to 2008. In more recent years he worked as Coordinator of XRQTC Supercomputing Centers (XRQTC is the Reference Network on Theoretical and Computational Chemistry). Jordi is a very active contributor to several open-source projects dealing with High Performance Computing and Large Scale Systems and worked as an independent HPC Advisor for several companies and research centers. Currently, Jordi works as a Computer Scientist for the New Zealand eScience Infrastructure in Auckland, New Zealand.
