I am currently pursuing an M.A. in Statistics at Columbia University. Prior to Columbia I worked in finance, developing risk management models and recommendations for large corporations and financial institutions. I also worked in economic / public policy research for several years, simulating the impact of various health policy proposals. This involved statistical work plus a good deal of data munging. MBA in finance from Columbia, BA in public policy from Duke. I have worked extensively in SAS, and have growing facility with R and Java.
